“an exuberantly satiric and acid-edged jab
at the pleasure-sated offspring of the Celtic Tiger”

“sardonic…riotous”
-MetroLife Dublin.

Sing, HiberniaI have been writing since I was a boy. At this point, it seems a lifelong condition.

Bio: Last of the Vegas Magicians, a play, appeared in the Las Vegas Fringe Festival 2010. My short play, Exit Hibernia, appeared in March 2009 at the Samuel Beckett Theatre in Dublin. Three companion pieces, Hibernian Rhapsody, Hibernian Acronymy, and Sing, Hibernia, were performed in Temple Bar in the three years previous. My novel Utopia Closes was a semi-finalist for the Amazon Breakthrough Novel Award in 2008. In the 1990s, an excerpt from another novel, Grace and the Fusilier, was performed on the BBC World Service. Shorter pieces have appeared in various small magazines. At that time, I also ran a literary review, The Second Circle.
